Captain’s Nights - Spring II 2025

You may enroll for multiple Captain’s Nights events. 

May 1st Thursday 6-9pm

May 8th Thursday 6-9pm

May 12th Monday 4:30-7:30pm

These are opportunities for you to be seen by the League Captains so that they may properly understand your skill level prior to the League draft on May 15th.

After the draft Captains will formulate a lineup based upon player skill levels which allows for comparable skilled players to play against each other.

Club Barbecue - Summer 2025

To get our annual Pickleball Tournament off to a tasty start, and officially welcome in the 2025 Pickleball season, the Club will be barbecuing up some great, All-American eats to satisfy the appetites of all its lobbers, slammers and dinkers ( if we can find one). Here's the sizzle:

• When: Friday, May 16th, 2025
• Where: Clubhouse breezeway, promenade, upper patio, courts
• Time: 6:00 PM-7:30 PM
• Menu: Burgers and dogs, buns, chips, pretzels, condiments, BYO drinks
• Cost: $5.00 for members and $10 for guests
• Action: Open play pickleball ( 4 courts ); play to 9/win by 1

Registration closes Monday, April 28, 2025.

Men Kings of the Court 3.0 and Up - Spring II 2025

May 26, 6:00-7:30pm.  YES, we know it's Memorial Day.

Players will be placed on starting courts based on skill level ( Self rated at 3.0 and Higher ).You will move up or down based on win or lose and partners split after each game. At the end of the final game, the winning team on top court/s will be crowned Kings of the Court.

Here's the kicker:Rally Scoring , games timed at 10 minutes. Expect 7-8 games.   No team needed to join.

Registration will be limited to 16 players. ( 4 courts). We will have a waiting list.

It is imperative that if you register you are committed to play. If you must cancel it needs to be done no later than 24 hours before the start. The event needs 16 players.

If you are a "no show" without prior cancellation you impact your fellow members and you will be limited to a waitlist placement for the next Mens event. Registration will open on Sunday, April 27th at 10am

RMPC Men's Doubles Tournament - Spring 2025

The Regency Pickleball Open Tournament will be held the weekend of May 17 - 18, 8am - 5pm.

• Men's Doubles event is : Saturday, May 17th . Anticipated start 8:30 am.

• ONLY ONE APPLICATION needed per team entry  Partner name required on application
• This will be a bracket event with round robin play.
• The Competition Committee will seed and place teams in competitive brackets. 

If you need a partner you must secure one before registering as partner's name is required.

If you need a partner PLEASE post on the Club Team Reach page to seek out a partner.

2025 RMPC League, FULL TIME - Summer 2025

The RMPC League 2025- Battle for the Panson Cup

When: Thursday Evenings 6:00pm - 9:00pm , Starting May 22nd through July 31st ( Anticipated)

• Rain dates will be Monday Evenings 4:30pm - 7:30pm during that timeframe.
  
• The League is based on the concept of teamwork. A commitment to your team requires a commitment to participate over the 7-week season. 
• Two PLANNED absences is reasonable , more are not. Playoff weeks projected ( July 14 - 31 )
• Additionally we realize that " life gets in the way" sometimes and there will be an unplanned need to miss an evening. The league will be constructed to accommodate that situation.
• Players will again be drafted by the Captains. There will be numerous opportunities for members to refresh the minds of the Captains as to your skill level whether you are a returning player or new to the league this year. More info on this will be shared later.
• Captains will draft based upon their determination of players abilities with no predetermined rating labels assigned.
• All matches will be equal in point value. The emphasis always was and will continue to be that this is a TEAM event.
• The league teams are mixed ( Men & Women). 
• Currently we see 120 full time players as the maximum the league can accommodate based upon our court/date availability.

2025 RMPC League SUBSTITUTE ONLY - Summer 2025

The RMPC League 2025- Battle for the Panson Cup

When: Thursday Evenings 6:00pm - 9:00pm , Starting May 22nd through July 31st ( Anticipated)

• Rain dates will be Monday Evenings 4:30pm - 7:30pm during that timeframe.
• You are registering to be a substitute for the RMPC League
• A substitute position is not guaranteed any playtime and will only play if a need develops.
  

CLINIC: 5/19 Inter. 2.0 & 2.5 - Summer 2025

Build a solid foundation by focusing on fundamental skills such as: 

•  Serve: Deliver a legal serve that lands deep in the opponent's service court.
• Return of Serve: Return the ball with depth and accuracy to limit the opponent's attacking options.
• 3rd Shot Drive/Drop: Develop the ability to execute both shots effectively to control the pace of the game.
• Dinking: Land in the non-volley zone to create opportunities for error or offensive play. 
• Court Positioning: Learn how to stay together, and play the  left and right side of the court.  
• Keep the ball low – Try to not hit a shot that makes it easy for your opponent to put away. 
• Communications – Speak to your partner during play.

CLINIC: 5/20 Novice 2.0 2.5 3.0 - Summer 2025

• Be guided through the fundamentals of the game.
• Proper grip
• Develop understanding of dinking, volleying, serving etc.

12pm-1:30pm session Inter. 2.5, 3.0 (per our self-rating guide) 8 participants.   2 courts

• Reinforcement on fundamentals
• Key strategies like, 3rd shot drops, court position, partner communication

Both sessions will be fun, engaging, packed with drills, mini-games and live play.

CLINIC: 5/20 Adv.Inter. 3.5 AND above - Summer 2025

Focus: Overall comprehensive clinic highlighting strategy, court positioning and shot selection for the first 5 shots. This will include" the serve, return of serve, 3rd shot drive/drop, dinking, and the 5th shot as well as resets, negotiating the transition zone

Option of two sessions. CHOOSE ONE.
